Long-Distance Grandpa
This was a gift for my 4yo grandson but his 8yo sister really enjoyed it also. They worked together solving puzzles and she could see a few moves ahead. They both loved the wooden animal pieces and making the solution parade. Harder puzzles are more appropriate for older kids. The 4yo also enjoyed imaginative play with the animal pieces.

This was purchases as a Christmas for our 5 yr old granddaughter. She got it out and immediately figured out how to play it. She loves it. I love low tech toys for kids!

Upon viewing the video of when my 5 year old niece received it, she did not look too sure about the box she pulled out of the packaging. I'm out of town and have not found out if she plays with it much or not. However, I did not see the typical positive reaction to her gift as I usually do with other Fat Brain gifts. I'm not sure if she understood what it was but am hoping her Aunt and boy cousin helped her comprehend it since they were there and her Aunt understood that it was aimed for a child her age. My hope in choosing this was that even if the logic part was too complicated for her, that she would have fun with the little animals in there. I usually get follow-up videos or pictures showing the kids still playing with my gifts. I have not with this gift and it has been 4 weeks now. However, it could just mean they are busy on vacations.

I bought this for my 4 year old goddaughter. She absolutely loves it, and it is so good for her critical thinking skills. They are fun puzzles and games for kids, but also perfect for brain development.

It's a little challenging, but that's good because he will learn. He's learning patterns in school now so it just reinforces it.It's for a 5 year old boy.

The wooden animals provides a hands on experience which is critical to keeping a child's attention. The game itself is helping to develop her critical thinking skills.

This is terrific! My grandson was frustrated at first - which is wonderful. He realized then that he 'had to use my brain' as he told his mother. After solving the first puzzle, he wanted to do '10 more' in one sitting. When he got to number 3, he stopped for the day. The challenge is excellent - he is 7 years old and usually just wants to get on the computer. This holds his attention and he plays it when he comes to our home every week. I'm so glad I purchased the second set - in Christmas of 2019 when I bought the first set, the animals disappeared! I had tried to purchase just a replacement set of animals but was told it was not possible. This past Christmas when I was on Amazon, it was unavailable. I tried again in January - I was determined we were going to play this after seeing all of the possibilities in this game. I have purchased a number of toys/products through your company for both of my grandkids. Fabulous products!

My 5 year-old received this as a gift, and it's been fun playing it with him. It took a few games to get the hang of it, but now he's able to solve some of the easier puzzles completely on his own, but it's also a nice way to work/play with him to help develop problem solving and critical thinking skills. We enjoyed the game so much, we bought it for some cousins to enjoy as well.

This game was so much fun that I bought two more sets so each of my grandchildren can play. I bought it for my 4 year old grandson but it was a bit too difficult for him. On the other hand, his 6 year old sister loved it! We had a small glitch at the beginning but once we figured out you can't jump over another piece (you can only move the most forward piece in each row) we plowed through 5 pages of games that afternoon. What a great game!

It is a gift so I have gotten to see her play with it. She is very bright and has named all the figures and created scenarios in which to enhance the play!

I bought this for a 4 year old boy who has older sisters. I am not sure a 5 year old could even figure out the answers as the adults and a 12 year old were getting frustrated with the directions. We finally got the hang of it but it requires a lot of thinking ahead and do overs. It was fun but I don't think younger kids have the skills to complete all the levels.

My 5 year old grandson is starting to really enjoy games and he likes puzzles and figuring things out. So! A logic game! Here's how it went: "My giraffe fell off the bridge. Yikes! He's going over the waterfall! Oh, no, the lions are chasing the hippos. They broke the bridge! Camels to the rescue." Turned it into fantasy play (which was probably more fun). We'll try logic when he's six.
We don't want you to have to wait for your child to grow into the toy you just bought. If anything you order turns out to be unsafe or inappropriate for your child's age in any way, please don’t hesitate to give us a call at 1-800-590-5987, or head over to our Returns and Exchanges page. I have two grandchildren whose birthdays are only one day apart. My granddaughter is 7 and my grandson is 5. I began looking for gifts in the 5 year old range, and came across AnimaLogic. My 7 year old granddaughter is very interested in animals and wants to be a veterinarian. Even though she is older, I felt AnimaLogic would be perfect for her. She really enjoys it and has had fun playing it with her family. They sent me a video of her with the game, and she showed me how to play it. I generally use your age-guided list for making selections, but this deviation from the list proved to work very well.
